40 Years of History
We have over 40 years of history in Calgary
Calgary's pageant system (Little Miss to Mrs.) was created by Patti Falconer over 40 years ago.
Patti believed the pageant experience was the best opportunity for females to develop their poise and confidence. Through public speaking, special events and interviews she watched the pageant delegates develop grace and courage. She began the pageants with Miss Teen Calgary and quickly added in the Miss Calgary. Then the Little Miss and Junior Miss pageants for the younger group and Mrs Calgary for the elegant women over 28.
Patti enjoyed success as an executive, woman of distinction, entrepreneur, single parent and model. She successful lead Patti Falconer Model and Talent Agency for 50 years. Her brightest and favourite moments were with her “Pageant Girls” .

The Canadian Beauties Connection
Canadian Beauties is owned & operated by Lisa Harrigan Joseph.
Lisa became interested in pageantry after her mother, a personal trainer, was asked by Patti Falconer to judge the once included fitness component of the pageant. After watching the pageant that year she was hooked and could not wait to start competing. She competed a few times in Miss Teen Calgary starting at age 14 and went on to become Miss Calgary 2006.
After holding the title of Miss Calgary 2006 she went on to create her own local pageant Miss Sun & Salsa, with the support and help of Patti Falconer. This is where Canadian Beauties began. From there Lisa went onto to compete in several national pageants, 3 times underneath Patti's banner at Miss Universe Canada.
After the passing of Patti Falconer, Lisa came back home to the pageant system she loved and competed in Mrs. Calgary 2018 placing as 1st runner up. Soon after Canadian Beauties & Patti Falconer Agencies partnered up and Canadian Beauties took over production of the pageants in 2019.
Lisa is humbled and honored to continue on Patti Falconer's legacy.
